The Night Queen and the Sun God were intended to be complements to one another, but all they could see were the differences. Instead of creating harmony, they turned their gifts to conflict and destruction. And yet, even in their defiance, they couldn’t help but create balance. It was a violent balance, rather than a peaceful one, but balance all the same.
For hundreds of years the Shadow Witches, disciples of the Night Queen, have fought the Knights of the Sun God. But a chance encounter between Shadow Witch Nikka and Knight Destin could reveal the true potential of their abilities.
To do so, they will have to overcome their personal prejudices and learn to trust one another. They will have to survive attacks by former friends. They will have to confront their gods and question everything they know.
Are the witches and knights all female and male, respectively? Are they immortal, or do children come from marriages with uninvolved parties?
Also sort of reminds me of a male/female east/west (not remembering which) geographical mythological conflict I once invented. Wasn’t about night and day, though, and it was more about the mythological setting than any political conflict. And it’s not something I’ve worked on for many years. Just reminded me some of it.
For this site’s visual theme, I do recommend higher contrast than the dark gray on black. It’s sort of hard for me to read on my screen.
Anyway, I look forward to following along!
